Bringing over three decades of experience in the innovation economy to Nextwave Partners, Christian has held diverse roles from corporate leadership to thematic venture investing. His career began in the innovation pipeline at Eli Lilly, followed by a tenure at IBM where he contributed to a multi-billion dollar innovation model that was implemented on a global scale and informed national policy. Seeking early-stage experience, Christian ventured into startup founder and advisory roles across a number of global markets, later serving as a consultant for XPRIZE. Recognizing the power of venture capital to shape innovation, Christian spearheaded a $50M fund within Technicolor and served as founding GP of Technicolor Ventures. Expanding upon his knowledgebase, Christian went on to collaborate with domain experts across a variety of themes as a founding GP on a handful of emerging funds, most notably Industrious Ventures. To date, Christian has invested in 100+ startups (GP), 10+ venture funds (LP) and advised a multitude of corporations across a breadth of themes. He graduated with a degree in Chemistry from Michigan State and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
